Balcony rails

In exchanging messages with my retired colleague IL, he tipped me off to a potential research source for my project that I hadn't considered, and it lead us to around 100 pages of letters from Judith Cladel to Augustin Hamon, all digitized by the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam based on microfilm that IL's team had prepared. I've been going through them all day and having a blast - it happens that they concern just the period of Cladel's life that I am writing about now, so this has really been most welcome. Research is so serendipitous sometimes, and can be so much fun!

Not as physically tired as me after all of yesterday's walking, J rode for 60km at Longchamps and around the Bois.
