Down on the beach (Day 2856)

A chilly start to the day for the pre-breakfast wander up the hill with Sigyn, but the weather looked reasonably promising. In other words it wasn't hosing down with rain and blowing a gale.
It was still dry as my beautiful wife and I headed for Stromness and got George and Jeeps out a ride. The breeze was fairly chilly as we left the field, and it took me a while to warm up. We rode through the middle of Stromness, along the shore and down onto the beach before heading back to the field. As we rode, the weather improved and the wind disappeared. It was a grand ride, and after a busy week of work, just what I needed.
Home for lunch, then a wander out with Sigyn. She spent most of her time looking in the undergrowth for small furry things to murder. She was unsuccessful, but enjoyed the thrill of the chase.
Back home I gave the grass its first cut of the year before HV and I headed back to Stromness for a last hoss check.
Its been a fine day off. 30,000 steps so far...
