Tones & textures

Walked up to collect the paper, picked up a stale baguette from the community fridge for the birds, back home, I went on the SSE chat, attempting to get a result as I am still waiting for customer services to call me back with an engineers apt. Total waste of time, so now back to emailing. FRUSTRATED!
Down to CK, marked the raci g pages for Mum to pick her horses for this afternoons entertainment. Walking Indie, I heard geese away in the distance, then a lone goose flew overhead. A dull, flat, morning, even the birds were quiet. We went home via the badger sett, 7 active openings into the underground network of tree roots. No peanuts today.
Back at Mum's we sat watching the birds while enjoying a maple pecan Danish with our coffee. A flock of sparrows, a pair of Bullfinches arrived in the trees beyond the hedge, hen Blackbird, Blue tits, & a cheeky Dunnock on the windowsill looking for tiny tasty morsels. Perfect!
Gee gee's this afternoon, pizza first, then down to the nitty gritty. I do get quite animated & vocal, which obviously paid off today as I had 4 winners Whoop! Whoop! That 40pence has topped up my kitty. :-)
Hubby did a little adjustment to the birdbox purchased on Thursday, so fingers crossed the Blue tits will be back checking it out tomorrow now that it is back on the wall at Mum's.
NOW watching athletics, before making dinner.
