Crafty Creatures

I had almost forgotten about this book until a friend asked if she could borrow it. She'd remembered it from when I was using it at the sewing group quite some time ago. She wants to make the ducklings for her grandchildren. I think I'll have a quick flick through before I pass it to her on Tuesday. I want a small knitting project to take with me to mum's so there should be something ideal in there.
Kath and I made the trip to Wolsingham with the items we wanted to pass on to a larger charity shop. Our recycle shop is looking so much clearer now and we feel we have given nice things that will benefit a shop with a bigger footfall. We stopped for the obligatory cuppas on the way home and a lot more chatter.
I took Reg a walk down into the village. The truck at the bottom of the lane, in the extra, was there to load sheep from the field. Reg was a bit worried about why it was there, an unusual occurrence, and stood and stared for a few minutes, then marched off towards it. It didn't look like they were ready to load immediately and I wanted to get last before the farmer's dogs and the sheep were let loose! We managed it in plenty of time but I had to drag Reg up the top road and down the steps on the way home to avoid it, as by that time they were loading. Reg was most put out, he doesn't like to deviate from his usual route!
I had an easy dinner some sweet potato chips cooked in the air fryer, yum! Barry has been out all day looking at his ancestors graves and chatting to local historians at the church there. He had lunch out so need to cook for him today.
Grateful:
For all volunteers manning charity shops to benefit others
For lovely books
For a furry friend that can always make you laugh
