High Place in Merkine

This morning Steve, Jovita and I climbed the steps to the high point near Merkine to look down on the confluence of the rivers. We sat down looking out over this vista and talked about high places and faith and life and work and the wonder of what we could see and hear and smell in this place.

Then.....the voices of a choir drifted from nearby Merkine and the reader read from Acts Chapter 2 and (if it had slipped our minds)we were reminded of the celebration of Pentecost and what that meant to us as people of Chritian faith.
