Side By Side

Driving home from the movies in Nelson my eye was drawn to the big white shape above the single story buildings.  I pulled in and got my blip of cruise ship Europa moored beside Koorale which is not moving anywhere because of a legal dispute.  I put in the extra because that is the shed the cruise ship passengers walk through.  Not very posh.  I liked the young boys fishing off the wharf unconcerned about big white ships.  
The movie was Women Talking and only one other woman was in the cinema.  I think it is very good and does what it says, women talk about difficult subjects and difficult decisions.  It is set in a Mennonite community in Bolivia.  I read Toronto stands in for Bolivia.
