Friday Walk

Another mainly grey day, with the sun only breaking through occasionally. We had to drive down to the village so went up to Redgrave & Lopham Fen again for a walk around the whole periphery this time. The camera didn't see much action, but I liked the alder catkins positioned over a fence & ditch, even though I couldn't quite achieve the angle I would have liked. The extras show some of the tufted ducks on one area of open water and the tiny bracket fungi on a small piece of alder - the latter slightly less than three centimetres in diameter - in an area of coppiced alder on our return route.
