Musical madness

Last week I was approached to play in the orchestra for the Bourn Players as they are producing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang later this month.  I knew it would be a challenge but I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone, try something a bit different and increase my confidence.  

I got the music today (all 87 pages of it) and was horrified to find, in the first bar of the overture, the word 'solo'.  

I've got to get used to it though as I've also got an 's'-word in Linton Jazz's version of Bohemian Rhapsody which we will perform at our 25th Anniversary Concert this Sunday 2.30pm at Haverhill Arts Centre.
