The Egyptian gooose has successfully hatched nine Egyptian goslings so she had plenty to honk about – even on one leg. This species is in the minority in Bedford town centre. I'd estimate that the largest population is Canada geese, then Mute swans (misnomer), Mallards/Moorhens/Hooded gulls, and finally Egyptians.
I did spot two Egyptians perching at the top of a pollarded tree only yesterday morning but failed to get off my bike to record it. They were were honking fit to burst! It was only later that I realised that I've never seen a goose up a tree before. Goats with hoofs, yes, waterfowl with webbed feet, never.
