Use it or lose it
After over five years living in Musselburgh, and on World Book Day, I finally got round to joining the library, and it was so easy.
Done and dusted in five minutes, I am now free to borrow up to ten books from all the libraries throughout the county. There are also numerous other services offered …
All in all, it’s a great service offered by the council, and it’s important that we use services like this (and resist cutbacks) which are even more important during this cost of living crisis. Libraries allow people to borrow and read books for free, stay in warm, as well as getting some free of charge refreshments!
Reading (both fiction an non fiction), is important to all ages and we should reading more rather than spending all our time time on social media, such as instagram, Tik Tok etc.
It’s good to use the imagination, so I am especially pleased that the BBC is relaunching it’s children’s writing competition: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64808395
Anyway, I’m putting this iPad down and going to continue reading a book now, while I enjoy a cuppa.
Have a good day all.
