Silence, sorrow

An eerie silence in my local area and no doubt most of the country after yesterday’s rail disaster. A distinct lack of modern technology and little or no maintenance has led to this mess. They’re understandably angry here.
All train services were suspended yesterday and early today the Metro workers went on strike too.
My group of five gentlemen students tonight were subdued, it was a relief to finish the lesson as it felt so heavy.
In happier news, dad is mastering email and managed a Teams call for the first time. Cool!
