The home leg......

The LA to Auckland leg began in darkness and 12 hours later, concluded with about 20 minutes of daylight. Plenty of time to sleep....... or watch movies. On to leg 3 then.....a quick 90 minutes from Auckland to Nelson. Gone were the monstrously long wings, the 10-seat-width body and and the jet engines..... in was the tiny 4 seat width body, shorter wings and propellers. In also was a lower flight path so it was possible to see details in some landmarks.....like Mt Taranaki's peak peeking above the clouds. By the time I arrived home, 39 hours had lapsed since leaving Fi's. Managed to keep myself from sleeping until it was time for bed. Think tomorrow will be a write off.
