Heading south
Just after lunch we set set off for Leeds, no time for the scenic route this afternoon. Though we did stop off in Boroughbridge on the way to stretch our legs. After a short walk by the river we walked through the town. This fountain in the square was built in 1875 over an artesian well (The Market Well) which, at 256 feet deep, is apparently one of the deepest in England.
First stop in Leeds was to drop off a huge box full of Lucy's belongings, so we went in the direction of Headingley, where she lives. Then she re-routed us to Armley, as she's storing it at her partner's house there. Thank goodness for Google maps!
Once the box had been unloaded we all went to a very nice pub in the centre of Leeds to meet up with Tom for a meal. Lovely to spend some time with Tom, Lucy, and Reuben. A very enjoyable evening ;-)
