A Balancing Act With A Tungsten Blue Duck
I started today with an early morning run, a set of weights and a walk so by early afternoon I was feeling like I'd overdone things a bit so settled on staying in for the rest of the day to watch Drive To Survive on Netflix and starting my new book.
My new book is non faction and is called House of Glass. It's by the writer and author Hadley Freeman and explores the stories and secrets of her extended Jewish family in the twentieth century, which she was inspired to write after she discovered a shoebox filled with her grandmother's treasured belongings. The author has described it as a story of courage and sacrifice, of assimilation, identity and home.
I must admit I had an afternoon nap too but as I awoke from my mini slumber I noticed the light had changed and the sun had came out so I thought I should head out for another walk and take my camera to capture today's blip.
The colour of today's shot is a complete fluke. Somehow, being the technical ignoramus that I am, I had managed to set the white balance on my camera to Tungsten which is usually for indoor shots with lighting but if you use it outdoors it turns the image blue. So here is my shot of a blue duck as it floated serenely along the River Medway!
