Applying visa from Chinese embassy

We got up at 5 AM and drove 50 minutes to the embassy in San Francisco. We got the before 6:30, but there were lots people waiting in the line. 9:30 a lady came out to give people numbers. She only gave to the first 120 people, we didn’t get any number.
It was a ridiculous experience which will be forever remembered
After that we drove eight hours and changed 4 time. We are in Oregon now.
