Earth

Floating Earth is an artwork created by the British artist Luke Jerram. It is a large scale sculpture of Earth that is suspended in a large tank of water. The sculpture is made from detailed NASA imagery and is designed to be a 3D representation of our planet. The artwork has been exhibited in various locations around the world, including the National Maritime Museum, and this month has been part of the annual Winter Lights festival around the Canary Wharf. 

We headed to the festival after work. Tomorrow is the last night which might explain why it’s was so busy.  This year we got a map and followed it which made it a bit of a more logical tour than we have sometimes done. We avoided a one of the inside exhibitions at Crossrail Place because of the queue but saw all the others. . 

We were out for a couple of hours which was a decent evening out. Lovely to see the lights again.
