Shopping trip
After an uneventful walk round the stream (unlike yesterday morning when someone chose to go into the water and spend 10 minutes in the muddiest section under branches before ever hung triumphantly with a disgusting tennis hall) Mr PHL dropped Phin at daycare. The ball from yesterday had a good wash and is now drying on the radiator.
We’ve had little further communication from the caravan dealer so we decided to cancel the order. One quick call this morning and the deposit was refunded with no pushback. We had already sourced another unit and another call to the dealership near Catterick and we’re picking it up next week. Managed to get booked into a wee site hear Richmond as we will stay over a couple of days to make sure everything works ok.
We headed to the local shopping centre near the airport as I wanted some new underwear and a mooch around and Mr PHL wanted to start his shopping for the cruise we’re on next month. I tried on 2 pairs of trousers, a dress and a top and didn’t buy any of it. I did manage to top up my snacks though. Mr PHL got shirts, shorts, jeans and socks. A little disturbed to realise that it was self service tills but it worked ok. Only needed assistance for 3 items.
Made a new dish tonight, meatballs in a tagine sauce with added peppers and onions accompanied with couscous flavoured with spices and raisins, pine nuts, cucumber and pomegranate seeds. It was a hit, very tasty.
A very bad picture of the tree in the front garden as I wasn’t up to walking to my favourite tree (see extras fir a previous blip of it). My back is a lot better but still not quite right. I like the idea of flooding blip with trees in honour of blip founder Joe Tree. Happy Joe Tree day.
