Lisbon

Last day in port; we left Cadiz and sailed north, hitting some force 6 swell in the night, but midship deck 16 we hardly felt it.
We awoke as we began the sail up the Tagus river, passing the Belem Tower, “ Monument of the Discoveries, and under the former Salazar bridge to dock at around 9.
We took a hop off/ on bus around the city back down to Belem. Lots of stops at traffic lights gave me a chance to snap various monuments and statues through the bus window!
The walk back from Belem was much further than we thought, past the afore mentioned monument ( detail above ) and bridge, but with great views .
We kept expecting Iona to appear but it was about 5 miles back to her! Happy to be back aboard for a very late lunch and sail away at 5:30. We now have 2 sea days before Southampton.
