We had a really nice day out, we started with a walk to the Beacon, where we sat and enjoyed the sunshine and the wonderful blueness, as here, with Sherkin Island in the background.
Then we had a tasty lunch in the Glebe followed by a wander around their lovely gardens, before heading out to (the area known as) Spain to see the famine village and to walk along the clifftops.
And there we saw a whale !!!! We all saw it curve through the water, its unmistakeable fin, five or six times, heard the blow of its breath.. and we were all too transfixed to get a picture ! Though to be fair Traveller's Joy did try.
Apparently it was a fin whale, and it made my day.
