Tadpole

A couple of weeks ago while out walking with the Beagle Boys, I spotted some tadpoles in the tractor tracks that the rain had filled with water. I remembered when I was wee that I used to go on treks in search of tadpoles to bring home in a jar so I could create a pond for them to watch them develop. Before they were ready to do any leaping, I'd carefully transport them back to where I found them to let them go. Now wondering if I had been a cruel wee girl.
It wasn't easy to capture and this time, I only had my phone camera but the black blob is definitely there hiding under a blade of grass on the left of the photo.
