Spring

The UK Meteorological Office make a great play that the 1st March is the first day of Spring when others of us have always understood it to begin on the Spring Equinox, 20th March. The 1st March is, more importantly, St David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales. To all my Welsh friends I wish you a very happy day.
