Stairway

The famous stairways of old Saint Petersburg....

During the last 24 hours I walked over 10 km through Saint Petersburg. First part started at 3.40 a.m. on my way home from the "Night of Museums" in the Anna Akhmatova Museum (about 6-7 km). Part two after an excursion in an old villa (you can find some pictures here - there is no article about that old villa at Wikipedia yet) about 4 km from our house.... In the villa and during my way home I made lots of pictures. So now is the question: Which one is the one picture a day....??

I took one picture of the stairway in an old tenement house here on the Vasilyevsky Island - "my island". I really like to walk through the old town of Saint Petersburg which is on several islands. And if the door is open I love to get in and walk up the stairs till the last floor and look what is still left from the former beauty.

Today it was sticky, + 25 C. Now it's raining.
