St Ives Estate

Not feeling great this morning, but one of those things where you know you don't feel right but you have no idea why! Church was morning service, so not too much getting up and down.  Decided fresh air might help so took myself off up into St Ives Estate.  Not been up for ages so bought a coffee and went for a wander round feeding the ducks and swans as I went.  Chilly but very sunny.  Main photo is the path round the pond.  The pond looked lovely in the late afternoon light, but the shots I took were into the sun so sadly were no good.  Saw 4 Treecreepers, but as I moved to one side of the tree they moved around the trunk.  I finally got one in the lens and a woman shouted across "what's that?" Off flew the birds!! Several Rhodies have been removed due to the Larch disease.  Sad to see the artistically twisted Rhodie next the pond is one of the victims. Sadly it has to be done to save further damage.
