Hoy Kirk

On walking up the Mill Brae, the Hoy Kirk keeks out.  Went in past to visit the carpet layers who are relaying the vestibule floor.  We then inspected the major renovation work carried out in the body of the Kirk.  Coincidentally we met the building contractor, about to carry out repairs to a Croft roof with his sister.

Got an island briefing, with tea and toast, from CMC's brother and his wife.

In the afternoon there was an outbreak of decadence.  CMC played Bach on the piano.  I sipped Kilkerran 16 and started 'The Balkan Trilogy'.
