The Vikings are coming!

Big event in Rolle, the town just along the lake from us, this weekend. Meeting of Newfoundland dogs (and their owners). Over 150 of them. Mrs SwRo met the welsh contingent who came from the same town she was brought up in.

Today was the water competition, which meant lots of life saving: dogs jumping in the water and dragging people back to the shore. Photos weren't great: just a black head in the water.

And then we saw the dogs with the vikings. Apparently, it ies believed that the newfoundland dogs are descended from the Viking "bear dogs".

Went for a long run this afternoon, up into the hills behind. Cold and windy.
Couldn't bear to watch the footie. Spurs won but it wasn't enough!
