Met my friend Lynda for lunch today. She lives in Eastbourne and met about two years ago when we spent a few days in adjoining hospital beds when we were both in for some surgery. We got on so well that we stayed in touch. She's a fantastic cook (the quality of the hospital food was a regular part of our bonding conversations) and she brought me some biscotti that she made herself. It looked perfect and was absolutely delicious.
