Advice needed

I have an iPhone. It costs a jolly fortune at around 50 euros a month. I very rarely make calls, but I do use it for taking photos, checking mail and occasional texting. I have lots of apps but use Google Maps most frequently and the others fairly rarely. I'm thinking of changing to a less expensive android phone and wonder if anyone has any advice to offer.
