Common Mergansers

The mergansers are also known as "Fish Ducks" and fish is their main diet. Their bills are long and slender with serrated edges, formed like teeth for grasping and holding their prey, which they catch by swimming below the surface.
These ducks are very skittish. I got a few distant shots today, but I'm hoping to get closer shots eventually.
