Bounce Back

Last night was a farewell party, tonight was a birthday party. Going from a party with a sad outcome hanging over it to a more positive one helps to end the weekend on an upswing. I also got a message back concerning a job I'm trying to set up while I'm here, something that hopefully will carry me through Japan, back to the US, and working for a big chunk of my life. It's moving me a step in the right direction, and faster than I was originally planning, all because I got lucky with a contact. It's not what you know, it's who you know, as they say. Here's hoping that works out the best for me.

Having these couple of positive things rolling around in my head as I head to sleep is fantastic. Recently, I've been on a roller coaster of good and bad days, with one thing kind of hanging over everything I do and determining much of my feelings for the day. While that's still there, it's good to have some things stockpiled in "good feelings" for if it swings back to a bad day.
