Finally

The old technical college buildings have been empty for ten years since the college moved to a new site. The buildings have become an absolute eyesore, a disgrace to the town, so it’s great to see they’re finally being demolished.

I worked there for a few years; my main claim to fame was that I had my handbag stolen from my house (someone just walked in the front door and took it) containing my work key and my name tag. It turned out the key fit every single lock in the main buildings so they all had to be changed. I was not popular.

The site is earmarked for housing and a new Lidl store - it’s about time.
