Relocation

A bitterly cold day!! No one out and about.

This old tree in the village is the place to hang about for wood pigeons. Yesterday I counted at least 28 before loosing my place, but today there were just a handful. But there were loads of starlings for a change, they only show as tiny black dots in this shot.

Out neighbour has chopped a tree in his back garden from 35+ft to about 12ft so there are no branches on it. It was a gather place for starlings and it was great to hear them chattering away before they took off for their evening trip to join their mates over by the lakes at Whisby Nature reserve. I would like to think that they have found this spectacular tree as an alternative gathering spot. It’s only about 100 yards as the crow flies from their old one.

A friend from sewing called in for coffee late morning to catch up on the news as she is off to Dubai tomorrow to visit relations. I missed our February session as we were away for the weekend and she will miss the March one. Three months is a longtime to try to remember everything relevant that has happened.
