Katazome Today
We went to the Whatcom Museum today. Jason and Willie hung out in the kids’ section. Elke and Andrew went to the history exhibits in the old museum building. Shelly and I went to this exhibit. It’s all about the contemporary use of an ancient Japanese art form involving stenciled ink painting on fabric. Some of the pieces were softly beautiful. This one was a unique take on using the art form to do portraits. We headed home after a couple of hours. In the evening we went to our favorite local Chinese restaurant, the Panda Palace. Yum. Another great day with the kids. They head home tomorrow.
