In vino veritas

The title comes from the WhatsApp status of the customer who provided me with my first fillip of the day... Kie had sold to him earlier in the week, but APC had not only failed to deliver the wine, but their driver had been rude to him (on the phone). He was wanting to cancel his order, but agreed to see if APC could get it delivered on Monday. In the event, APC delivered it today (whether or not as a result of me chasing it, who knows?), and the customer was very appreciative. Result!!
My Kashmiri barber friend cut my hair very nicely - I think it might become a regular appointment when we're at the NEC as we're likely to book this house regularly...
Picture was taken to show David how unsatisfactory my viewing position was for the rugby, having missed the first half as I'd forgotten my car needed a wash... Not that I think I missed much - a very gritty 1980s style match - but hey, a win is a win...
Tasting was good, £1.2K, and promises of more orders and more tastings in future...
I got back to the "Wineomania house" for the last 10 minutes of Crystal Palace v Liverpool... another match that I'm not disappointed to have missed: 0-0 and fairly rubbish by all accounts...
Now everyone has gone to bed and I'm watching the cricket - and even that isn't going as well as previously, suddenly England are finding it hard to get the Kiwis out...
Still, the most important thing was the tasting, really; and that went really well, so I'll take that!!
Family tomorrow (:
