Ornamental Onion

Properly called Alliums, but commonly known as Ornamental Onions. They are really great in the garden, providing height and interest, both before they open and again when they flower.

When I went out to squelch round the garden again this morning, after the torrential rain of yesterday, I noticed that our Alliums are just on the point of opening so wanted to make sure I caught them today before the moment passed.
