CELEBRATING 60….

….not mine, my very good friend Jan. It’ll be the first of many for her.

Sadly the day started with a funeral for a friend who had fought cancer for 17 years. Such a feisty lady.

#then we met Elaine at the bus stop and gave Jan her first clue…as she was having to discover our various stops to her final surprise …Clue 1 &2 lead us to London Bridge and across the river to the monument.
# a light lunch here thanks to clue 4 where J solved another few clues that lead us to..
#the sky garden.
#we enjoyed the view, had a wander around and had a coffee stop when J discovered her main birthday surprise.
#### tea at The Ritz in London. The sandwiches were very tasty and endless, the cakes beautiful and delicious. We were constantly offered more. I had 3 different types of tea. Nothing was too much trouble. Although we thought we might be paying for the name…and it wasn’t cheap…I thoroughly recommend it as a special treat.
Having started our trip at 12 and returning home at 8:30…a good time was had by all.
