This is Banjo, grand old man of the 'long bush walk'.

He is incredibly patient and puts up with young whipper snappers like Astro, leaping labradors, bossy basenjis, jumping jack russels and cooeing humans like me!
He gets that resigned look of 'yeah whatever' or 'don't push your luck, matey' when they/we persist and as his 'mum' says, the daily walk is a tortoiselike trundle along their well worn route of many years.

Banjo turns 18 in June and while not a coming of age celebration of 'sex, drugs and rock and roll' at a Northbridge night spot, there will be chicken and treats. Go Banjo!
