Darts

The iris reticulata look like a set of darts, the pansies are bog standard colours and the gravel bought off t’internet ressembles cat litter but I am curiously pleased with my bowl of spring on the outside table.  It was either that or another amaryllis picture - there’s one out at the moment that is enormous and deep crimson with TWO STEMS!  

I compared some photos of the garden this year to last and most of the snowdrops that i planted last year seem to have come back nicely and there are certainly more around than last year.  I much prefer them to crocuses which I find hit and miss, either lost in long grass, bashed flat by animals or rain.  Just occasionally you find a knockout drift in a nice colour mix and see the point. 

Anyway, inspired after PIlates first thing I bought more snowdrops in the green, headed home for a zoom day, managed a walk at lunchtime and generally felt things worked quite today! 

V had a lunch with someone he’d been at school with who had shockingly different political views from him - well from anyone other than Attila the Hun so he came home quite traumatised!
