I will be happy when a woman is pope!

"In persona Christi" is a reference to the "fact" that only a male can represent Christ at the altar.

We are on our third pope since I painted this. The second one wrote on behalf of the first one, "I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitely held by all the Church's faithful." -- Apostolic Letter of John Paul II, "On Reserving Priestly Ordination to Men Alone"

In my copy I scribbled, "It is not the Church that ordains--the Holy Spirit ordains. He even, Holy Father, ordains Protestants!"
