Not flying yet

On my way to lunch I passed through Waverley Station. The Flying Scotsman was steaming celebrating a century since it entered service. There was quite a crowd there including the Poet Laureate who wrote something for the occasion. Wonder how many modern engines will last as long? Or be celebrated so well.
