Good thing I snapped this on the way out the door this morning. I didn't take another photo all day!

33 years ago today, Mt. Saint Helens in Washington State erupted. More than 150 miles from where I live, I heard and felt the blast. It sounded like sonic booms. It rattled the windows in our small trailer home. Later in the day we would hear of the horrible destruction it caused and the lives lost. 57 after the final count. Later in the week we had falling ash. It coated everything with a fine grey dust and would do so for several days. For more information look here.
