Brown pelican

We went to a beach down the coast today, where there is the only coral reef in the Sea of Cortes. We hired snorkel masks but didn't go on a proper tour; consequently we weren't far enough out and apart from one stripey fish we only saw sand and a few bits of dead coral. But it was a pleasant swim and much nicer in the sea than on the hot beach.

I wasn't camera- ready for the osprey that flew along the beach but managed to get this pelican taking off from the water.

Tomorrow is our last day in Mexico; we start our journey home via Vancouver on Monday. All the arrangements have gone really well - all thanks to S's organisational skills, without which none of this trip would have happened.
