Different County...!!

Most of the afternoon was taken up with traveling to Portlaoise Co. Laois to a funeral...a brother RIP of a former work colleague and friend of ours...
I snapped these two photos very quickly as although it had been a fine sunny morning here it was dull and a good strong nippy wind when we came outside the church...( why is standing around in churchyards always so cold.
)!!! We only attended the funeral Mass as my other friend T had to get back to Dublin early.
The first photo is of what is probably our highest security prison in Ireland ...and this is the rather dramatic front of the oldest building...there are new parts behind and to the side..
The other is the Cross and highest part of the towns imposing parish church St. Peter & St. Paul’s...
I was very thankful today to be almost pain free and able to attend.
