Down to Earth

I had an enjoyable walk this morning, the highlight being a glimpse of one of our local Little Owls - a sight which has eluded me for quite some time now. I got good views of it though my binoculars as it sat in a tree, but as I manoeuvred to try and get a photo, it disappeared when I took my eye off it. Still, good to know they’re still around. This Skylark was more obliging sitting proud of the grass in the pasture.
