Hero!

I went to Colne this morning to meet my friend David who used to be the Mayors Officer for Burnley while I was the Mayors Officer for Pendle. We started at the same month in 1992 and I retired in 2011 but David worked a couple of years longer.
Near the coffee shop in Colne where we meet there is a statue of Wallace Hartley who was the band leader of the Titanic. His body was brought back to Colne and he is buried in the cemetery there.
