House Finch in the Joshua Tree

This was taken from my bedroom window in the same tree featured in my blip two days ago. I spotted the pair of House Finches hanging out in the large Joshua Tree and took this through the window, as I was still in my nightgown.  The female is in extra.

Our cousins left this afternoon to return to LA and we spent a quiet afternoon reading and relaxing.  The winds kicked up late in the afternoon and by evening and night it was " blowing a hoolie."
