Snow day.

I was looking forward to having lunch with a friend that I haven’t seen since before the pandemic. At 7 o’clock this morning she sent me a picture of their snow covered yard.  she lives about a half an hour east of me and she had over 5 inches of snow (now well over 12”) she said she wouldn’t be going into work today so we had to cancel our lunch. We had a snow rain mix here, so no problem driving, I went and did errands for us and for mom and dad.  I was still looking forward to dinner with some girlfriends to celebrate one of their birthdays tonight.  As the afternoon went on the rain turned to snow and dinner had to be postponed, so I made soup and took a walk in the snow.
