A Room with a View

We picked up our rental car and drove about 3 hours to Joshua Tree, California, named for the very unique trees that grow in this area, two of which are in this photo. 

 My husband's cousin owns a house there in the Yucca Valley at an elevation of about 3300 feet with views East, South and North.   This is the view just outside our bedroom window looking west.  Just between the trees, if you look closely you can see the snow covered peak of Big Bear. 

Looking forward to catching up with him and doing some hiking.
