The Miracle...

So we finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other day. I decided to let the kids see the 1971 film. The one with Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.

Brilliant film and brilliant performance by Gene Wilder but there was one thing that really always got me about it.

Grandpa Joe... Allegedly he's been bed ridden for 20 years yet he gets the lure of a golden ticket to go visit Willy Wonka's factory and suddenly he all upwardly mobile and walking about.

He's a chancer. Charlie should have take his mum who's been looking after the four of them for the duration of the sleep in.
