Guiness and Roddy
Our first two dogs in miniature as the real ones were huge.
Guiness the Afghan Hound named so as when he was young he had long white eyebrows that ran down the side of his head. He was registered with the Kennel Club as Guiness of Dunbar as we were living in Dunbar Court in Kettering. He arrived with us at nine month old as his owner was going to have him put down as he kept knocking his antiques over he was dropped off in the Rolls. He lived to twelve and died of natural causes and our only dog to do so. I'm sure "JackyT" will remember him.
Roddy the Borzoi a Russian Wolf Hound was a colleagues dog that he bred and used to show him but he needed to move him on as he had run out of room so we had him along with his 58 rosettes. He was a beautiful dog and could put his paws on my shoulders and look down his nose at me he was much bigger than Guiness.
My other half entered him into a few shows and he used to preen when he got into the arena.
It was supposed to be raining by now but we have a stiff breeze with a blue sky and fluffy bits!
