Round and Over the Wrekin
My walking partner came over to help me transport our tandem to Coalport near Ironbridge for a service. The tandem is about 40 years old and it was charming to hear the bloke at the service centre eulogise about the bike when he saw it. Apparently nearly all of the parts are original and he was able to reel off all of the details about the bike, where it was built, the designer, etc.
Afterwards we had a quick walk around and then over the Wrekin. We decided to climb via the west ridge which was brutal in its steepness. By contrast the route down, most often used by visitors, was quite gradual. This is a rather different treatment of the plinth at the trig point at the top of the hill.
